Eversholt Rail has awarded Alstom a £12 million contract to carry out mileage-based overhauls on our Class 334 fleet.
This work is due to commence in January 2024 at Alstom’s Polmadie Depot.
The scope of work includes the overhaul of pneumatic and electrical components such as autocouplers, gangways, batteries, underframe air valves, cab HVAC and toilets.
The 40 Class 334 trains are currently on lease to ScotRail, operating on routes between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
TransPennine Express (TPE) in partnership with Eversholt Rail and Siemens Mobility will prepare for the future of rail travel by upgrading its current fleet of Class 185 trains with the European Train Control System (ETCS), a next-generation digital signalling technology that will improve safety, reliability, and customer experience over the long term.
