Almost £5,200 raised for Eversholt Rail’s charity partner BackUp – thank you!

The industry came together last night and showed its generous side for Eversholt Rail’s annual quiz in aid of its charity partner, BackUp.

Hosted once again by Linklaters LLP, Eversholt Rail staff were joined by colleagues from Frazer Nash, Clemtech, Siemens, LNER, Porterbrook, Arriva Rail Services, Rail Operations Group, Alstom, KBRS, Angel Trains, Stadler, Microsoft, DB ESG, Greenberg Traurig, GTR, AtkinsRealis and First Rail.

£5,200 could fund either a series of life changing wheelchair skills sessions for up to 15 people, empowering individuals to reclaim their independence and engage fully in life after injury, or it could fund the training and development of up to 15 family support volunteers. Having successfully adapted to their loved ones’ injury , these volunteers give their time and knowledge to other families, supporting them to come to terms with a life changing injury.

We would like to thank everyone who took part and donated prizes, including those who couldn’t join us but still made a donation such as EMR, GWR, Wabtec, CrossLondon Trains and FORA.

Angel Trains won for the second year in a row, edging out GTR by a single point. Hat-trick next year, Angel?
